  1. Best case for the price ever

Posted by Unknown on 5th Apr 2013

Very impressed with quality and sturdiness of case. Used for 3 trips across country so far and TV's still work! Much more foam was needed than what was provided but overall we are very pleased.

  2. 42" Plasma Road Case

Pretty much as described. Case is pretty narrow and probably won't fit an attached base. (We removed ours since would not be needed for our operations).

  3. Great Case. Casters and Foam need Improvement.

Posted by Clark on 3rd Oct 2012

The case is well built and sturdy. It has already kept our 42'' LCD Protected through three flights. Which was the top priority. We got this so we could take our own TV and stand to tradeshows instead of renting them. Rentals are so ridiculous that after two uses, we'd paid off the price of the TV, Stand, and Case.

The foam it comes with is hardly enough to keep a TV protected. Or if it can, I certainly couldn't figure out how. There are no instructions for packing/placing the foam. I went to Home Depot and picked up a big foam pad. Then I hot glued it and the foam that came with the case into place to hold the TV securely. We were also able to fit a TV stand into the case so I made the foam fit that as well.

The casters don't swivel very well at all. Once you get them going in the right direction, they roll okay, but switching directions (like in an out of an elevator) is a bit of a pain. It seemed like one or two of the casters always wanted to stick sideways and we'd have to lift the case and manually straighten them.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. The price from Road Cases USA was very affordable (even if you factor in the additional foam purchased) and it does what it's supposed to: protect our TV. I would recommend it to others without hesitation.
